You keep away all with your keen intellect, all the while hoping one kind will elect
To discover you, and go to expenses, to worm their way past each of your defences
You know this won't work, but hope anyway, the secrets you hold, scarce revealed in one day
But a miracle, golden, and sparkling within, your ultimate prize held, far beneath your skin
Your passions may waver as passions will do, but pleasure for you should be best viewed askew
Hot blooded and straining you, parched to your throat, blank expression you hold, now your chosen emote
Aching, desirous and yearning described, pressure now builds behind serene brown eyes
Shelter you now within maternal chest, livid purple with tattooed bruises, attest
One kind attempts daring, a rescue of you, left fine, feathered clothing, a faint residue
At the base of the tower, you built around, never slowing, growing or giving up ground
A brilliant, bright shine upon sparkling white teeth, your prison is stunning, beyond sheer belief
A gryphon may land, spreading rumours afield, but never will you now, your secrets to yield
Shatter peace dwelling here, to mark off the hour, self-hatred is rife in your ivory tower
Fire lingers a while, force to you a faint sigh, throat as tightly constricted, hot and bone dry
Desire runs rampant, aching you to your core, shocked and spiralling, trying not to adore
This prison you built strong to keep out the world, all you want now - to watch it crumble and fall
Never dreamed of a moment, frozen in space, something sweeter or gentler here than your face
Intent such a loaded, passionate word, intrigue or mystery, all one could afford
Heartened, you find someone missed you just one time, swells of pleasure now mixed with pride in its prime
No more or less - taken directly in lieu, of fantasies, dreams and desires here of you
In such a sickened, demented, sad little world, where lithe succubi have around angels curled
While tortfeasors faint protest, I broke no word, but widespread and rampant their consequence heard
Such a pure, unforgiving, unyielding yew, feathered a nest here, now, with so very few
The choices drew you here, like cards from a deck, random and pointless and so circumspect
What path brought you here, to so distant event, brought also quite fairly the means to prevent
Remove but a skin from a sparkling star, it watches you tacitly, dazzling bizarre
Fade from your vision before time's reduction, a levity, cowled, and marked for destruction
A moment fast gone before anyone saw, one kind may care ribbons, but hates as she swore
